Summary
The Quality Verification Engineer serves as a critical oversight role for a complex design-build transportation project in SeaTac, WA. The engineer will oversee the Design-Builder's quality control and assurance activities, review design and construction submittals, monitor compliance with project requirements, and lead the State's Quality Verification processes throughout final design and construction. This position supervises assigned field construction staff and works closely with the Project Engineer and Field Operations Manager to ensure the project meets WSDOT's standards and contractual requirements.

- Demonstrated understanding of civil engineering principles applied to transportation projects
- Experience serving as a construction project inspector on design-build projects with quality management expertise
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to coach and supervise subordinate staff
- Experience reading, interpreting, and analyzing construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate state-owned vehicles; ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and traverse rough terrain
- WSDOT Construction Inspector Certification Program within 12 months of employment
