Summary
The Department of Ecology is hiring an IT Business Analyst - Journey to serve as a bridge between program needs and technical solutions across the agency. In this role, you will analyze business processes, document system requirements, collaborate with program staff and IT teams, and support technology initiatives that help the agency fulfill its environmental mission. The position offers opportunities to work with enterprise-level applications, contribute to modernization efforts, and gain exposure to Agile and lean practices.

- Six years of experience in business requirements analysis, requirements documentation, quality assurance testing, SDLC/Agile methodologies, systems integration analysis, and communication across techn
- Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze, and refine business needs independently and create clear, testable, traceable requirements
- Proficiency developing test strategies, leading user acceptance testing, and ensuring defects are resolved before production
- Experience applying SDLC, Agile, or hybrid project methods in requirements and testing workflows
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, STEM, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience and education combination)
- Desired: CCBA/CBAP certification, Agile certifications, or Prosci OCM certification
