The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia seeks a tenure-track research faculty member (Assistant or Associate Professor) to develop an independent research program in precision molecular imaging, PET-based diagnostics, and radiotheranostics. The position offers access to a well-equipped cGMP radiopharmaceutical laboratory, cyclotron, and imaging technology to support research in oncologic, neurologic, cardiovascular, and infectious disease applications. - PhD in radiochemistry, chemistry, molecular imaging, cancer biology, immunology, nuclear medicine, biomedical sciences, or related field
- Strong record of research in molecular imaging, PET imaging, radiotheranostics, or related disciplines
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical development, molecular imaging agents, PET tracer development, or radiotheranostics
- Expertise in radiochemistry, molecular probe development, antibody engineering, or translational technologies
- Direct experience with radiopharmaceutical synthesis, QC/QA procedures, and 18F, 11C, or radiometal radiolabeling
- Ability to work independently and train junior lab personnel
