Summary
The Investment Technology Systems Officer works in the New York State Comptroller's Office to develop and maintain investment systems and infrastructure. This role reports to the Managing ITSO and works across investment, compliance, risk, and operations teams to build custom applications, manage vendor integrations, and modernize the technology stack supporting the Common Retirement Fund. Key qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/MIS/Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or similar field
- At least three years of experience in application administration, data mining, AI/Machine Learning, or application development, preferably in finance
- Experience with Microsoft development technologies, database management systems, and cloud hosting platforms
- Experience supporting investment management solutions (MSCI, Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of financial services industry and its processing models
