Summary
The AVP, Workforce Development will lead semiconductor industry workforce development coordination across New York State as part of the Governor's Office of Semiconductor Expansion, Management, and Integration (GO-SEMI). This role partners closely with the VP of Workforce Development to design and implement high-priority workforce initiatives, manage staff, and build relationships with regional and statewide stakeholders. Key qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 4-8 years equivalent work experience
- 5+ years relevant experience in workforce development; 7+ years preferred
- Experience in semiconductor industry and/or workforce development preferred
- Workforce development program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Partnership building and stakeholder/community engagement
- Strong public speaking, written and oral communication skills
