The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s (LDEQ) mission is to provide service to the people of Louisiana through comprehensive environmental protection in order to promote and protect health, safety, and welfare. The Water Permits Division plays a critical role in protecting Louisiana’s waters. As an Environmental Scientist , you’ll ensure facilities across Louisiana are properly permitted to discharge wastewater in accordance with State environmental laws and regulations. This role directly impacts the quality of Louisiana waters, as well as offers the opportunity for professional growth.
