Summary
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks a Senior Public Service Administrator (Monitoring Administrator) to formulate, design, and direct implementation of policies and procedures for monitoring services related to guardianship, adoption, and licensing action planning. This position directs tragedy reviews, manages action plan execution, serves as a full-line supervisor, and represents the department before state and federal agencies and courts on permanency-related issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills and strong leadership and communication capabilities.
Key qualifications
- Master of Social Work (MSW) or master's degree in related human services field
- Four years progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with MSW OR five years with master's degree in related field
- Five years professional experience managing or conducting child welfare casework or performance monitoring services
- Three years professional experience in oversight of a large program for public or private organization
- Three years professional project management experience
- Ability to pass background check and valid driver's license
