Key qualifications
- Four years of college with coursework in agriculture, natural resource management, conservation, agricultural economics, land use planning, geography, or public/business administration
- Work-related experience as a local SWCD technician or Natural Resource Conservation Service Technician may substitute for college coursework on a year-for-year basis
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel in performance of duties
- Ability to pass background check and preemployment physical
- Elementary knowledge of Soil and Water Conservation Districts organizational structure and functions
- Knowledge of Natural Resource Conservation Service conservation practice standards and soil testing/typing
