Summary
The Office of Program Policy and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) seeks a Senior Legislative Analyst to serve as a technical expert conducting research studies, program evaluations, and policy analyses of public programs and agencies. The analyst will demonstrate proficiency in managing evaluations and analyses, possess strong writing and presentation skills, and develop substantive knowledge of Florida state government operations and the legislative process. This is a non-remote position based in Tallahassee.
Key qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of professional experience in research, analysis, program planning and evaluation, or administrative work
- Experience designing and executing research to develop a documented basis for policy analyses and program evaluations
- Understanding of principles of governmental organization, budgeting, and accountability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience writing for and testifying before high-level executives or elected officials with statistical and financial data
