Summary
The CARES Assessor conducts comprehensive assessments of applicants for nursing facility placement and home and community-based services within the Department of Elder Affairs. The role evaluates Level of Care, recommends appropriate placements, and participates in interdisciplinary staffing teams while maintaining accurate client information in the CIRTS system. Key qualifications
- Four or more years of professional experience in community and social services, or a bachelor's degree in community and social services, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to compile, organize, and analyze client information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate multiple computer applications and data systems
- Valid Florida driver's license required; ability to travel within assigned planning and service area
- Ability to work with clients with various physical and emotional problems and maintain professional demeanor
