The Fiscal/Administrative Officer supports the Department of Children and Families' Central Office Business Unit in Hartford, performing professional-level fiscal and administrative tasks including travel management, bill payment, asset management, purchasing, and fleet management. Key qualifications
- Six years of experience in fiscal/administrative functions including accounting, budgeting, grant administration, or purchasing
- Two years of the required experience at paraprofessional level or above with independent judgment in accounting, budgeting, or fiscal administration
- Knowledge of public administration, governmental budget management, and accounting principles
- Skills in financial document preparation and analysis, written and oral communication
- Ability to utilize EDP systems for financial management and reporting
- Preferred: Experience with CORE-CT, Microsoft Office 365 Excel analysis, P-Card reconciliation, and asset management
