Summary
The School Age Systems Specialist serves as the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's staff authority for integrating positive youth development approaches across youth-serving programs and represents the department on the National Network of State Adolescent Health. This position establishes technical frameworks and standards for how CDPHE programs design and deliver services to youth and young adults, and serves as the department's technical authority on adolescent health while providing strategic consultation to internal and external partners including the Department of Education and Department of Human Services.

- Seven years of professional experience coordinating system-level change strategies impacting school-age children
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in public health, psychology, sociology, social work, public policy, public administration, education, or related field
- Training in Positive Youth Development approach
- Knowledge of Health First Colorado's Medicaid Systems and Colorado's Behavioral Health System
- Experience partnering with School Health and School-Based Health Centers
- Ability to navigate and establish strategic partnerships within complex health, behavioral health, human services, and education systems
