Summary
The Enterprise Solutions Integration (ESI) Business Analyst serves as the Department's business and systems authority for Colorado's Medicaid Enterprise System (CMES) data exchanges and integration across the Medicaid ecosystem. The role translates Medicaid policy and operational requirements into clear business and technical specifications, leads requirements elicitation and design activities, and ensures compliance with federal mandates including Medicaid Work Requirements. Working within the Health Information Office at the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, the analyst collaborates with policy teams, contractors, and federal entities to implement and validate system solutions supporting accurate eligibility determinations and claims processing.
Key qualifications
- Seven years of professional experience managing business processes, conducting business analysis, and leading SDLC for large complex healthcare systems OR Bachelor's degree plus three years of related
- Ability to translate healthcare policy into business requirements
- Experience with formal SDLC methodology and enterprise system implementations in regulated healthcare environments
- Strong communication skills to translate technical details to non-technical audiences
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and working effectively in team environments both remotely and in-person
