Summary
The Deputy Director of CoBEES serves as Chief Product Officer's second-in-command, providing executive leadership for day-to-day operations and strategic coordination of Colorado's benefits eligibility and enrollment systems during a multi-year technology modernization effort. This role oversees operational planning, program coordination, organizational development, and communications across CDHS, partner agencies, and 64 counties. The Deputy Director acts as a strategic advisor and member of the extended executive management team, representing CoBEES in executive, legislative, and interagency settings. This term-limited position is hybrid (remote with up to two days in-office per week) based in Denver.

- Ten years of relevant experience in program management, operations, business administration, public administration, information technology, organizational leadership, product management, or human serv
- Demonstrated experience leading large, complex programs, portfolios, or organizations and supervising managers and senior staff
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, workforce planning, and establishing governance and accountability frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership and translate technical topics for non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and exercise independent judgment in regulatory and political environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build constructive relationships and influence across multiple agencies, counties, and vendors
