The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Evaluation and Data Manager to provide advanced analytical and operational support for Arizona's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). The role focuses on process optimization, data-driven decision-making, and compliance, including developing dashboards, analyzing program performance metrics, and identifying operational efficiencies to support CMS strategic priorities. The analyst will support risk assessments, contribute to quarterly and annual reporting, and provide technical assistance to RHTP stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights for leadership decisions.
Key qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or healthcare-related discipline, or 2+ years of business analysis experience
- Experience with Federal/State grants reporting and healthcare data, including medical claims data or equivalent State/Federal program work
- Proficiency querying and manipulating data using SQL, SAS, Python, R, Machine Learning, Cognos, or PowerBI
- Master's degree in relevant discipline (preferred)
- Experience preparing and presenting dashboards using data visualization tools like PowerBI (preferred)
- Ability to clearly explain complex methodologies and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences (preferred)
